Any Olympics tourists dining at one of the 112 official Olympic restaurants won’t see dog on the menu, the BBC reports.
The ban is part of a Chinese effort to avoid offending foreigners. Chinese leaders have also told locals to smile and not spit on sidewalks. No word yet on whether Beijing’s Night Food Market, a haven for entomophagists, will be swept clean of its fried crickets, silkworms, scorpions and centipedes.
