I finally checked out the High Line, New York’s new(ish) elevated park, and I loved it. The creative-by-necessity use of space in this city, and the effort to sneak some greenery into any available corner, is one of my favorite things about it.

I loved seeing the World’s Largest Ball of Twine in Darwin, Minnesota, though I was a little sad to see that two decades of inactivity have caused it to sag around the edges, making it perhaps the world’s largest lump of twine, rather than an actual ball.

I loved my first experience with a much-hyped Kogi Korean barbecue taco truck in Los Angeles. I saw the tweet that it’d be in Venice Beach on Sunday, and I arrived to find a long line of tweeting hipsters. My chicken and pork tacos were delicious—and worth the wait.

I loved spending Thursday evening in the company of travel lovers and digital media addicts at the Digital Media Travel Symposium in New York City. I sat on a panel with five writers, editors and entrepreneurs talking about the state of online travel and its possible future. It’s such a vibrant, exciting time. Happy to be a part of it.
