I loved jamming out at a concert to two great import bands: Swedish newcomers Peter Bjorn and John, and British legends Depeche Mode. It was an eclectic crowd, an incredible show, and it helped keep my mind off all the wanderlust-inducing summer concerts I’m missing. Here’s a shot of Depeche Mode rocking under a psychedelic disco world ... or something:

I loved coming home to Ontario in time to catch the early end of corn season. I’ll be gone again before it really hits its prime, but I’m satisfied knowing I managed to fit in at least one big feed of fresh-picked, roadside corn on the cob this summer.

Travel Blog Exchange 09 in Chicago. I spoke on a panel at the event and met dozens of travel bloggers from around the world. Saw some old friends, too. It was a pleasure to spend a day with so many people who are passionate about travel and are developing new ways to share their passion and expertise online. (The panels will soon be archived at the TBEX site.) Bonus: The gorgeous view out the window of our venue:

Sleeping on a red-eye flight. So simple, and yet, miraculous.
