Your Dream Trip? Priceless. Cost of the Journey in ‘The Bucket List’?

imageThat would be $105,730, according to the Los Angeles Times’ Mary Forgione. She added up the cost for two people to follow in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson in the film “The Bucket List”—and to do it “in style,” taking into account that you’d want to “stay in each place longer than a Hollywood scene change.”

Big ticket items include a private jet for 14 days ($54,000 per person) and two weeks on the Serengeti with Abercrombie & Kent ($10,500 per person).

Of course, you could do it backpacker-style for a fraction of the cost.

Perhaps Leonardo DiCaprio would be interested in starring in a heart-warming follow-up to “The Beach”: “The Beach Two: Backpacker Bucket List.”
