About Arthur Frommer and bringing in more tourists - The problem is that Homeland Security and the tourism industry are working in opposite directions. Homeland Security’s every new policy has the effective result of making it more difficult to get into the U.S. Unless that changes, the situation won’t improve.

Love the place dropping essay but it only works with other travelers who have a chance of one-upping you. Do it among non-travelers and they roll their eyes and start avoiding you.
