Fox News vs. CNN: What Channel Should Air at the Airport?A group of Notre Dame professors say authorities at the South Bend, Indiana airport should tune out Fox News, citing its “right-wing Republican voice.” The authorities say the airport’s 15 televisions are tuned to a mix of CNN and Fox, so they’ve asked passengers what they prefer. So far, travelers prefer news broadcasts to more neutral programming such as the Weather Channel, and they’re almost balanced between a preference for CNN and Fox. I’d be happy if they’d go with another approach, one articulated by USA Today commenter Mr. Old Fart: “How about just turning the TV sets off?” I wouldn’t mind a little less noise at the gate. Update, Oct. 7, 5:59 p.m. ET: Tripso’s Charlie Leocha offers a different take.

I think CNN should be aired because it’s the most watched news channel all over the world and that’s because it’s fair and objective news that is reported. I think everyone can agree that FOX news can be pretty biased. Since airports attract people from all over I think CNN would be the best choice because it’s news everyone can rely on.
