COMMENTSThe NY Times article about the Clearview Highway type family was interesting. But this article’s representation of it is odd due to the highway sign picture used at the top of the page (an overhead green sign in Macon, Georgia). Georgia DOT does not use Clearview on any of its big green highway signs. They use standard FHWA Series D type. This practice differs from the usual standard of FHWA Series E Modified seen on signs in most other states. Due to this difference some “road geeks” mistakenly think Clearview is being used when in fact it is just Series D type. By on 9.26.07 at 08:02 PM
