From the BBC: “Budget airline Flybe advertised for actors to fly between Norwich and Dublin to boost passenger numbers and avoid a £280,000 commercial penalty.”
Flybe’s agreement with Norwich Airport apparently stated that the airline needed to carry 15,000 passengers by the end of its financial year, which ends today. The airline was behind on its numbers, so it added flights and placed an ad at StarNow, offering actors 82 pounds for the proposed gig.
The jobs never materialized—Flybe apparently made its numbers without the actors —but an environmental row did. (via Gadling)
