I wonder if they look back fondly of travel by steam ship as well?

They do have a point. I’ve seen tarvelers sitting for hours in internet cafes - chatting with friends, updating blogs, using skype - when they should be out taking in the sights and sounds which they came to see.

I think people do the same things on vacation that they would at home, like send emails or shop. What is the point of paying hotel bills and airfare when you do the same things you would at home?

I hope I never become that important and self absorbed that I can not enjoy a vacation without the internet. “OH, the places we’ve been. OH, the things we’ve missed!” Don’t weep you fools, it was your choice to miss the tramp steamer!
