L.A. Comic vs. the Transportation Security AdministrationOh TSA, why do you seem to torment so many travelers, even funny people? U.S. Army veteran Tom Irwin, who performs the one-man stage show 25 Days in Iraq, had little trouble getting cleared to visit the White House last summer. But somehow, he wound up on the TSA’s security radar. As a result, the Los Angeles Times reports today, Irwin has had a tough time checking in for flights, encountering one mysterious and frustrating delay after another. Are you kidding? This guy has gone to war zones to entertain the troops and is rewarded by being put on a goverment watch list?? I would love to see his show. By on 11.16.06 at 03:46 PM
I’ve seen his show, 25 Days In Iraq, and HIGHLY recomend it. I think you can buy the DVD on his web site, and if you can, make a big effort to see it live as well. It’s a really cool story and Tom has a great style of telling it. By on 11.16.06 at 03:49 PM
I just got the DVD - I loved it too. Am hoping to catch his stand-up act. Can’t believe this guy is getting in trouble for helping out the troops! By on 11.16.06 at 03:51 PM
What do the airlines say when Tom Irwin is stopped at the gate? Can anyone be put on this list? If this guy, who is clearly a patriotic American, is getting in trouble, what does that mean for the rest of us??? By on 11.16.06 at 03:53 PM
Hey! The comedian was just interviewed about this on the John Zeigler radio show. Tells all about getting stopped at Reagen National airport AFTER he just performed at The White House. By on 11.16.06 at 08:36 PM
Can you guys do a more detailed article on this? With all the holiday traveling, I am sure this will be happening to other people besides Tom Irwin. By on 11.16.06 at 09:10 PM
