I loved this thoughtful, funny slideshow. I had never thought to think about travel photos with these “categories” before, and doing so made me laugh. But I also like the final thought: a photo may well be a type of cliche, but it can still be beautiful.

Ouch. Ha ha ha. OUCH. Cut that out.

A person can’t help it, can they. I particularly cracked up and cringed over “this guy—I have NO Idea what this guy is doing.” That’s a really important lesson for photographers, no?

Ha, Pam, that photo was the inspiration for the slide show. It cracked me up the first time I looked at it and it still makes me laugh. It’s so stupid and bad. (I do happen to know, BTW, that he was making silver jewelry. But I only know because I took the photo.)
