After graduating from San Jose State University's photojournalism program, Larry Clark made a career in the U.S. Coast Guard. He works as a consultant in the Washington, D.C. area and admits to getting just a little bit excited on final approach when he looks out over a new city from the airplane window.

We are obsessed with the past and future. It’s very rare that most human beings are in the present. They think about their past travels and where they will go tomorrow. Many people have a difficult time “just being” present. Unfortunately, life is fleeting and will be gone within a blink of an eye. Take it all in today and forget about tomorrow.
