Nice interview with World Hum contributor Elisabeth Eaves on Canada’s public radio interview program, “Q.” She discusses her new book, Wanderlust, and reflects on the women travel writers of yore.

I’ve been listening to podcasts of “Q” pretty regularly since I downloaded the CBC’s iPhone app. It’s a great show. In my book, it rivals NPR’s “Fresh Air.”

Agreed—“Q” is a fantastic show. And, actually, I think Jian Ghomeshi is an even better, more engaging host than Terry Gross. He glides so effortlessly from a musician interview to a Serious News topic to a lighthearted bit. I’ll have to listen to the Elisabeth Eaves interview.

I agree, Doug. Jian does a great job across a wide range of interviews.

I also love that the show often looks at how technology is reshaping our lives. Recently, they’ve done thoughtful segments on Facebook birthday greetings and the psychology of the “Like” button, for example.

Oh, and the same show that featured Elisabeth also included an interview with an American writer who embedded at an Indian call center and wrote a piece for Mother Jones about cultural training. Great stuff.
