Poor Heathrow. It’s taken the title in a passenger poll for the second year in a row. Charles de Gaulle, LAX, Frankfurt and Miami rounded out the bottom five.

I would suggest reading Brian Sack’s classic slam of Charles de Gaulle on the website Banterist:

But it’s actually first in the ranking of airports with the highest number of corridors.

I was just in Heathrow and LAX yesterday.  I’d say LAX is FAR worse—at least as compared to Heathrow’s Terminal 5.

Whilst Terminals 1-3 might be complete hell, the new Terminal 5 at Heathrow is actually really nice. The building was modern, there was lots of space, virtually no queues at all, and going through immigration and security checks were a breeze. My only gripe is that the Club World check-in desks for British Airways are all on one side of the terminal, which makes it a long trek!

Apparently Heathrow isn’t that great of an airport to catch some sleep in either. Some funny stuff here: http://www.sleepinginairports.net/europe/londonheathrow.htm

Heathrow may be the worst airport in the world for people using business lounges, but for the rest of us that have rather different concerns I think there are many worse airports, some of them even serve London:
