Los Angeles Times Pulls Plug on Travel Blog

Last November, we pointed out the new travel weblog, The Daily Traveler, launched by the Los Angeles Times. Today, the blog’s author, James Gilden, announced that the Times was pulling the plug on it. “Though thousands of you have tuned in over the months, the numbers necessary to justify continuing it just aren’t with us,” he writes. Gilden vows to publish the blog himself, at the same URL, “[a]s soon as I can work out the nuts and bolts (or bits and bytes).”
