Speaking of Roosevelt Island… In 1993, I played in failed NYC band that adopted Roosevelt Island. Half of our songs mentioned ‘86 (as in the Bryan Adams B-side ‘The Summer of 1686’)—when Robert Blackwell purchased it. That same year a mysterious ‘master of Delft’ artist disappeared. Some say he died in a fire, others say the ‘master of Delft’ IS Robert Blackwell.
Like, for example, a failed NYC band in 1993.

The S word is being pushed by state by city CVBs. From NYC to Los Angeles and Florida, they’ve all got special rates and freebies and stuff for residents, citing the bad economy and pushing people to spend in their own backyards. If every city and state tries to keep residents inside the border like this, then you’re going to hear a lot more of the S word.
