Regarding the Zagats assessment of Julie/Julia. The movie would have probably been better for them had they not viewed it through their own prism. It’s a joyous story of two wonderful women (one a goddess in the pantheon of culinary arts, one a young girl trying to find her way - thru cooking). The acting was spot-on (what can’t Meryl Streep do?), screenplay by Nora Ephron so clever, sets in Paris did indeed tranport you there in the 40’s. I, obviously, ate it up.
