Double-decker buses pass through the diagonal crossing at Oxford Circus in London. The new design was inspired by Tokyo’s Shibuya crossing.

Nice idea. Trouble is London’s not Tokyo and London drivers and especially cyclists are not as patient as they are in Tokyo. Apparently the lights at Oxford Circus will turn red every 90 seconds. If you were a driver or cyclist would you be happy having to stop and start so often? No way, you’d try and jump the lights.

At least something different. Something to talk about this legendary place.
