Princess Cruises: Human Error Caused Listing Accident

As we noted here, the Crown Princess departing from Port Canaveral, Florida last week listed suddenly, injuring hundreds of passengers. On Monday, the cruise company published a letter apologizing for the accident: “[W]e can confirm that the incident was due to human error and the appropriate personnel changes have been made.”

I can understand how thses people felt, as I had a simular thing happen to me, It was when we were going around cape horn in very rough seas, the captain did warn us and gave us 10 minutes to find somewere safe, as he said the ship will list, and it did.
I hope that all the passenger have now recovered.

We are told the accident was caused by “human error”, but the actual cause remains a mystery.
Did someone spill coffee over the electronic controls, order a hard turn just because they were bored, or what?  Why the secret?  The lawyers will get the details anyway?
