The best thing about this too-short gig with World Hum is that it revived and refreshed my passionate love affair with our glorious fifty. Traveling the U.S. is what gave me the travel bug in the first place and now I’m buggier than ever. Give up this blog? Never! I have so much more to see and do and discuss with you.

So Flyover America is hitting the road, and Jenna and I will be joined by a new travel companion, the ever-so-excellent Matt Villano. I can’t tell you how much I have appreciated all our fellow travelers here and our great conversations, so I hope you’ll pack some gummi bears and beef jerky and continue the trip with us. Drop us a line at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) if you’d like a note when we’re gassed up and ready to go, or watch this space and our friends at World Hum will let you know.

And now, before we hit the road, one last song, from Robert Earl Keen Jr. Everybody sing along.

I love that Robert Earl song and I have loved Flyover States. Loved it. Thank you for what you’ve done here and wow, I can’t wait to see what you do at your new site/blog/whatever that thing you’ll be doing is. Fly, be free!

Thanks, y’all and likewise Pam! I hope to see my work here again real soon, too, and I hope I’ll see you at our new site, Jennifer. It will be an easy hop on the Internet Interstate.
