I reread Lewis’ Main Street once a year. As a New Yorker moving to a flyover state many years ago, it was an attitude adjustment for me. It helped me get over myself and open my mind. (Carol comes looking nearly as foolish as her Gopher Prairie neighbors.)
The book is particularly relevant today, with our “regular” vs. “elitist” debates.
