Unearthing David Bowie’s Berlin

Those wishing to experience David Bowie’s Berlin will find that the city has changed quite a bit since the 1970’s, when Bowie—at the peak of his career—spent three years living there with Iggy Pop, recording the three albums in his Berlin Trilogy.

Though the Berlin Wall may be down and many ‘70s hot spots have fallen from grace, the Guardian’s Sean Dodson still manages to find some monuments to Bowie’s presence and reveals that “the adventurous spirit” that drew Bowie to Berlin is still going strong.


Elyse Franko is a Long Island native, a graduate of the American University School of Communication in Washington, D.C., and a former World Hum intern.
