Welcome to World Hum 3.0

Travel Blog  •  Jim Benning, Michael Yessis,  Valerie Conners  •  12.15.08 | 12:56 AM ET

It was time for a change. The site has a new look, and you’ll find plenty of new features, too. We’ve added videos and bigger photos. We’ve added new regular contributors, like Tom Swick. We’ve retooled our blog. We’ve made it easier to find articles about particular topics and places.

We know everyone doesn’t take kindly to change. If that includes you, give it some time to sink in. We think you’ll agree it’s a big improvement. And keep in mind it’s a work in progress.

Check out this short video about the new design and then let us know what you think.

May I be the first to say this is miles beyond the previous incarnation of the site in design, organization, and layout.

Congratulations!

Great work, Team World Hum! I love the new multimedia elements, especially. And I like that the look and feel of the site is still simple, with clear navigation and lots of white space.

The site looks fantastic, guys. But what’s with the slick new corporate logo? Bring back the funky old lopsided globe with the squiggles.

Congratulations on your new design.

Only one question: is there a way I can visit the travel blog by month? I kind of miss the standard blog monthly archives for dull, rainy days…

I love your new layout. Great job! Who’s the webdesigner? Must disagree with TambourineMan about the logo though. Keep the new one. Looks way better.

Oooh, shiny.  Like stepping foot in a new country, I’m excited to explore it.

I’m one of those who doesn’t take easily to change.  I liked the look of the old site, but am sure this one will grow on me.  What matters is the content, and in this regard worldhum has always been the best in the business.  Adding Tom Swick as a regular contributor won’t hurt!

Looking forward to many, many more years of Worldhum -

Tim

This is as good as buying a new car. And all I was expecting was a paint job. Good work! And it was worth the 1 week wait. :)

Congrats, guys!  Looks great.

Congratulations, World Hum. This is a big step forward for a publication that was already fantastic! Love the new videos, too.

Great work, guys!  This is a huge improvement.

As both a traveler and web design geek, I’m lovin’ it!
