I loved 99 Things to Eat in L.A. Before You Die by the always compelling and intrepid Jonathan Gold. And I loved the cartoon we published by Tom Swick poking fun at such lists.

I loved being in Vancouver this week for the Olympic Games, and participating, in my own small way, in the enormous global street party that’s been going on here since the Opening Ceremonies. Here’s a shot I took of the Olympic flame in its cauldron on the Vancouver waterfront:

I loved CNN.com’s new web series, Indie Asia, which follows the adventures of Handsome Furs (one of my favorite bands) as they tour Asia. Our heroes—a husband/wife duo and self-described “travel nerds”—explore everything from the Forbidden City to the local grocery store with equal cultural curiosity.

Fondue pong at the Swiss House in Vancouver, as played by Stephen Colbert. His celebration of Irish culture in this clip is pretty great, too.

Nice pic, Eva. Really wish I could’ve caught some of the Games in person.
