What’s Your Favorite B-List City?

Over at Flyover America, Sophia Dembling praises those lesser-known towns “that are on nobody’s bucket list” but pull out all the stops for potential visitors nonetheless. Her picks? Abilene, Texas, and Cheyenne, Wyoming. I’d add Vicksburg, Mississippi, to the list that’s growing in the comments.

Hmmm… I see Mississippi is going to have to rise to the top of my travel wish list. (I can never spell it without singing the old song “...it used to be so hard to spell it always made me cry…”)

Yes, definitely Mississippi! Home to a number of fine B-list towns. I didn’t get to explore Natchez or Oxford, but hear great things about both.
