I definitely wouldn’t have guessed one of the best beaches being in Southampton! How funny! Maybe I’ll have to check it out sometime!

Can’t wait to see the beach in Southampton.  I need to do more beach research for my next book.

I do not know America’s best beach, but I do know Spain’s best beaches. They are all located in the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata Nijar. One of the last unspoilt paradises on earth. If you ever visit Europe, don’t miss to stroll around Cabo de Gata: http://www.unique-almeria.com/european-beaches.html

Did you know that Steven Spielberg discovered this place and used it as backdrop for ‘Indiana Jones’ ?

Hanauma Bay, but unlike Anthony it requires reservations.

siesta key in florida. Baby fine sand, that’s as soft as powdered sugar… Near sarasota!

I grew up in Port Orange next to Daytona Beach. The wonder about it is tha fact you can drive and park on it. It’s wide over 26 miles long and you are able to drive, walk, run, cookout, play, and do almost anything on it with a hard pack you will not find elsewhere. Also offers a soft sand the whole length closer to the buildings and dunes. The beach and water is the most gradual slope to be found anywhere which allows you to walk or swim way out!

Maybe not so private as others but certainly an all around beach!!! After all, it did start the world center for racing!

The beach spans Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, Wilbur by the Sea, and Ponce Inlet with the most gorgeous lighthouse, park area, and inlet facility found anywhere!

The best beach in the world is in Ludington, Michigan.

If you don’t believe me take a look at these local photographers work. I think the pictures say it all.

The emerald coast of florida, Destin and Panama City, are the most beautiful beaches in USA. Unfortunately, they are about to be covered in oil :(

David 06.20.10 | 4:08 PM ET

Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan or Ludington Michigan by far.

Well who would want to go to Southampton I mean hardly anybody swam and the waters are freezeing there. I guess everyone has their right to their own opinion.
For me it would have to be Lanikai or Waimea on O’ahu or Big Beach on Mau’i
or maybe some of the beaches on the Big Island. Well maybe I’m being bias but hey I do live in Hawaii’i Nei.

Longboat Key, FL

No doubt ‘bout that!

I live in Venice Florida, Siesta Key is without a doubt the #1 beach in the U.S. !! best beach means year round use, N.Y. forgetta bout it !! recent publishing of N.Y. beach over Siesta Key Florida really ruffled feathers here, enough to be on the news & headline our papers. Do New Yorkers get to see dolphins, manatees, stingrays & even sharks on a daily basis?? I have extensive travel thru out the caribbean & siesta key has won me over with many of my beach destinations !! come on down New Yorkers take a look @ the #1 BEACH in the U.S.A.

Kelly 06.21.10 | 11:27 AM ET

St. John’s USVI’s!!!

Catherine Wachs 06.21.10 | 3:26 PM ET

Sorry, anywhere along Southern Long Island from Jones Beach on is the best. Barnegut Light in NJ gets runner up.

The beaches on Culebra Island, Puerto Rico are pretty amazing.  Flamenco Beach is awesome.
