A ‘Gastronaut’ Goes to San Sebastián

With 18 Michelin-starred restaurants serving San Sebastián, Spain and its 180,000 residents—the city is said to have more honored eateries per capita than any in the world—I can understand why this gastronaut made a pilgrimage. I once made a pilgrimage for Basque cuisine, too. But I went to Bakersfield, California.
Apparently Barbra Streisand and Ronald Reagan made pilgrimages to Bakersfield, too. Here’s one of the reasons why.
