COMMENTSHi Eva: I lived in Paris (and France in general) for a couple of years, and I too would rather be there--but, ah, not in the springtime, but when Parisiennes go on summer holiday and the streets are filled with tourists and backpackers--all of whom speak fluent English! “Un verre de ew, please?” a freund of mine struggles in translation. We better learn how to hold our water before we criticize the fine art of French food--foood being the finest of the fine arts. John M. Edwards By on 5.9.08 at 10:42 AM
Hi, I was in Paris in 2005 and I was being transported to Germany to be put on the new ship THE NCL PRIDE OF AMERICA the first ship built for America in 50 years . It was a wonderful time and I WILL ALWAYS TREASURE THAT. By on 5.9.08 at 07:05 PM
Hi Eva! My family was in Paris over Spring Break in April. I agree that with a little planning and flexibility, a great time can be had in Paris for a reasonable amount of money. One suggestion is to skip the car rentals and taxis; ride the metro! Not only do you learn how to get around like a real Parisienne, but you save a boatload of cash! Trying to eat a quick lunch on a budget? Kids love hot, delicious, (and frugal) street vendor crepes. Mmmm! Viva la France! By Family Travel Girl on 5.11.08 at 06:28 PM
