In “The Word” last night, he weighed in about airlines potentially charging passengers by the pound—“just like ground round.” It’s funnier than Derrie-Air. Video below.

Pay what you weigh is a great idea on many levels.  Because we will all strip down to paper gowns so we weigh less, we won’t have anywhere to hide weapons!  When we take our shoes off for the same reason, we won’t be bothered that security has to inspect them.  Additionally, the public nudity of all of us chubs will discourage eating, enabling the carriers to load fewer pounds of peanut bags on the plane.  It will be an incentive to loose weight, increaing America’s wellness!  Also, skinny peoples’ clothing is smaller so it weighs less and will make the flights more efficient.  It seems like a good, equitible idea to me.

The seer of truthiness has spoken. Now Congress will have to pass legislation implementing a pay-for-weight airfare system. Cargo planes will be in demand and business class will be eliminated.
