Hilarious editorial cartoon by Steve Benson. I just hope it doesn’t give the airlines any more awful ideas.

Way things are going, the airlines are going to be cutting down on teh number of flights, and trying to pack in more passengers into a flight, so they could start charging for ‘standing’ flights, where you pay less, but don’t get a seat. :)

Geez, I hope they wouldn’t charge for that. But I wouldn’t be surprised if they did though. It reminds me of this article I read a week or so ago called Silent Sprint for Aviation and it pretty much sums up that cartoon. We are going to have a lot less flights and a lot less elbow room.

I’m seeing the following new fees coming in soon:
Enhanced seating comfort - $20 (you get a padded seat)
Assured boarding - $25 (you get a valid boarding pass)
Bathroom tokens - $1 each
Rental blankets - $10 each (this also means they’ll turn the temperature to 55 Fahrenheit)
Which one’s of these do you think they’ll do next?

A friend on an Air Canada flight from Toronto to San Francisco was unable to get a free blanket because, the cabin attendant said, the service was only available on international flights! Seriously!
