From Caterer to Nanny, More Ideas For Overseas Jobs
Travel Blog • Jim Benning • 06.12.07 | 3:54 PM ET
We’ve covered ways to work abroad before—Rolf Potts recently suggested a variety of job possibilities, from hotel clerk to dive instructor—but the more ideas the better, as far as we’re concerned. Now, CareerBuilder.com proposes a few more travel friendly gigs worth considering.
In Five Jobs That Let You Work Around the World, the site suggests working as a teacher (“Germany, Switzerland and South Korea are among the countries that pay the largest teacher salaries”); a chef (“Kingsbrook USA Inc. is one company that works to place chefs in international regions”; an au pair or nanny; a massage therapist; or a caterer (“Caterers who create a name for themselves in the U.S. industry can earn a trusted reputation and follow clients to overseas events”).
If you don’t like those ideas, you can always consider Jeffrey Tayler’s approach. Anyone up for a little physical and psychological duress?
