A new sensory exhibit has debuted in Atlanta, offering visitors a chance to spend one hour in the dark, navigating through familiar scenarios—walking in a park, crossing a busy street, ordering drinks in a café—with the aid of a vision-impaired guide.
“People feel scared,” says the creator of Dialogue in the Dark. “But they realize they’re completely capable of adapting. They’re with these angels in the dark, who guide them through with no complications.”
The exhibit has permanent locations in Europe, Asia and South America, and joins in a trend of sightless experiences, like Dark Dining Projects, and restaurants offering a similar venture in California and Zurich.
