McCormick: Addicted to Globe Trekker
Travel Blog • Michael Yessis • 06.15.04 | 9:35 PM ET
Megan McCormick, one of the three primary hosts of the television show Globe Trekker (known outside the U.S. as Pilot Guides), recently got the feature treatment from CNN’s Kevin Drew. McCormick believes her experiences traveling in Asia and Europe helped her get the job. She tells Drew: “I had a lot of respect for them when they did hire me because I thought, Well, they’re hiring someone who loves to travel, not somebody who has just acting experience.”

I really love Megan, she’s a truly professional host! and her love for traveling and respect and admiration for other cultures is one of her higher points of her career. I’m a real fan of her work, and personality. I wonder if I can send her an email.

I am a big fan of Megan McCormick! I watch her show almost every single day! She’s a really funny host, and she’s very knowledgeable about traveling. I think Travel Channel should put her more on the television show. I was wondering if I can send her an email to share some of my experiences traveling in Asia. Thank!
Way to go! Megan! ^_^

There are certainly presenters that are more beautiful than Megan but what makes her special is her innocence that coruscate from her face, her eagerness to learn about a strange place, a strange country and a strange culture.I suppose amidst of all hatred and violence in today’s era, Megan stands for love, truth and honesty. I am in love with this girl not just because i think she is cute but also because i believe she is a good Human being too. Megan u r simply cuter than cutest. Hope to meet u someday(who knows.

Megan,
Sure enjoy your shows. But I am wondering ... after all the exotic and dazzling travel shows, why don’t you talk your producers into doing a series in which you visit small towns in the U.S. where you can promote your shows and get a glimpse of people who only dream about the things you get to see and share on the Travel Channel.

It is such a pleasure to watch Megan as she travels around the world.
Her “love of life” is so evident in the way she approaches each assignment.
In fact, I just finished watching her trip to Greece and Crete.
You know that she is “really” having a good time as well as partaking in a learning experience.
There are other travel “hosts” on T.V. but I am addicted to her friendly and warm personality.
Love ya Megan!
