Oslo Tops List of World’s Most Expensive Cities

imageNorway’s capital unseated Tokyo, Japan, which had been number one on the Economist Intelligence Unit’s biannual survey for 14 years. Reykjavik, Iceland ranked third on the list, with Osaka, Japan and Paris, France rounding out the top five. The AP has a report on the survey.

Japan has had many years of deflation, and it will have even more. Today Oslo is the most expensive but I am sure that Moscow will be the most expensive one in 3 or 4 years.

Norway is OK for a vacation as long as you are a multi-millionaire. If you do not have thousands of dollars to flush down the toilet, I would suggest looking
for another spot like Mexico or Canada.
A $2.00 dollar six pack of beer will be a lot more in EXPENSIVE Norway. There are much nicer and cheaper places to see in the USA. Check out the Rocky Mountains or the Grand canyon.

Interesting fact, I didn’t realize Japan was number one on this list all of these years.
