Kelly Westhoff reveals why she hits the road in a piece on The Huffington Post. “I’m not daft. I know evil exists,” she writes. “But travel, more than any worship service I have ever attended, reveals the awesome wonder and good that exists in this world.”

Hi Michael:

I don’t go traveling, looking for God: I go traveling, looking for Scots!

Hence, a poem will allay our fears.

THE LAUGHING SCOT

I am the Laughing Scot.

I see the good
In everything—
No matter wot. . . .

People were born equal.

If man were descended from the apes,
Then why are the apes still here?

There is such a thing
as an evil baby after all.

She feels alive and more comfortable when she’s traveling probably because when you’re among strangers, you tend to be more ‘open’ and receptive, as opposed to ‘responsible’ when you’re at home, where you have a certain image.
