AirAsia X Says Weighing Passengers May ‘Help Aussies Lose Weight’

It’s not a Derrie-Air-style joke. AirAsia X apparently is “considering charging passengers depending on their weight in a bid to fight rising fuel prices and to ‘help Aussies lose weight’,” according to News.com.au.

Australia recently became the fattest nation in the world and some of its citizens are open to the controversial AirAsia X idea. (via Jaunted)

I can see airport lyposuction clinics opening worldwide ...  OR

as you stuff your face with cinabun, liposuction sucks fat out of your bum.

But this vulumptuous (I passed voluptuous a few pounds back) women must admit, the more you have to haul, the more it costs the airline.  They should charge accordingly. In fact, they discriminate against anorexics when they allow me to fly for the same price.

Will they charge pro rata to their weight and their luggage combined…..

I foresee queues at the toilets in departure lounges as people shed those final few ounces before checking in.

Farcical!

Is this kind of thing legal in Australia? I mean, in the U.S., this would have been buried under lawsuits.
