You should check out the website of the first hotel in Times Square in that dirtiest hotels list. Says they’re proud of their cleanliness. :)

Hmm. Re: adventure books, there are a few interesting/unexpected picks on there, but for the most part I feel like it’s kind of a narrow definition of “adventure”—war (?!), mountaineering, the Arctic/Antarctic (extreme climates more generally), and colonial Africa.
Also, hate to raise a predictable complaint, but is Isak Dinesen the only female author on there?

Thank you for including the link to the dirtiest hotels in America. I do a lot of traveling and I found it very disturbing that some of the hotels I frequent the most are on that list. Looks like a change is in order for my next travel itinerary!
