Not to worry about not being able to tour the antarctic - after that ice bridge linking the Wilkins Ice Shelf to the islands collapsed, all the ice in the Antarctic is on it’s way out anyway, and I’m sure it’ll come to visit you - in your home. Literally. In the form of swollen seas flooding coastal cities after the sea level starts spiking.

Loved the bookstore pix. I have shopped in the one in Porto; it’s gorgeous.
Gonna miss these when the Kindle takes over.

The pictures of the bookstores made my pulse quicken!! :-)
Kindle will never take over! Part of the joy of reading for many people is holding a book, smelling, a book, browsing for books in a great bookstore, collecting books, sitting down with a great cup of coffee in a bookstore, etc! Using kindle is reading at it’s most basic, pared down and missing a great deal of the true experience and because of that it will never take over even if it gains in popularity. I wouldn’t use one even if one was given to me!!
