imageThere’s a lot of love in the air. And anger. And curiosity about the 64-year-old German man who chugged his Vodka instead of giving it up at an airport security checkpoint. Here’s the Zeitgeist.

About the New York Times story on “53 Places to Go in 2008”—does anyone else see the irony of urging people to fly airplanes to remote locations to visit places threatened by global warming?
Intelligent Travel has some thoughts about the voyeuristic aspects of this article: http://intelligenttravel.typepad.com/it/2007/12/climate-change.html
and Arthur Frommer slams the story as “most outrageous essay in recent history of travel journalism” because the main reason given by the Times to visit these 53 places was not history, culture or natural beauty, but rather the appearance of upscale, deluxe hotels: http://www.frommers.com/blog/2007/12/new-york-times-has-just-published-most.html
